Greetings from the Libertarian Audiotheque:
This project is being created with the intention of having a space on the internet that hosts audios of talks to expand the existing files and offer the possibility of consulting, listening and downloading the talks that have taken place in venues, athenaeums, social centers, on the street, etc.The reason for writing to you is for several things in which we can collaborate together to generate this file and expand it:
1º.- Have as many audios of the talks that you organize yourself:
With this, what is intended is to encourage recording the talks with a tape recorder or mobile phone, as far as we can and we want to, to help expand the file.
The audios that are sent to be included in the file, should have the name of the talk, speaker, date and place and whenever they are passed to be introduced directly to the file, they must be retouched and cut before any possibility that there are data that you do not want to be part of it.In this sense, the mission of this new project will be to COLLECT audios and encourage recording but the project can not assume the EDITION of the audios that are sent.
2º. – Collect audios of the places where they are already housed or events that we know will be held but we can not be there:
Many web pages, projects, premises, groups, etc. have been recording their talks for a long time. Many are hosted on the Internet, so in this sense, the collaboration is to send the links of those pages, the name of the website or project, etc.
Other files are found on hard drives without being of public use and it would also be interesting to have access to them. In this case, we could one day find ourselves somewhere to exchange the files.
3º. – Limits:
– Theme:
In principle the intentionality of this is to complement the anarchist-anti-authoritarian files that already exist with a section of audios, therefore, the priority is that. But there is also room for audios with social themes that do not have to be exclusively anarchist or that have not been held in anarchist spaces but that may be interesting.
– Radios: On the other hand, there are the radios that host all their audios on their websites. Within the website there will be a specific section in which the links of the websites of the radios appear, but the audios will not be uploaded so as not to duplicate work.
– Videos:
As another possible option, there are talks that have been recorded on video. Maybe they are minority, but they still have a place here since the interesting thing is the audio, therefore, it would also be considered as material to be included.
– Geographical area:
Any geographical area of the world. There are events recorded in other countries that may be interesting, even if they are in other languages (for example, fairs of the anarchist book of other countries, among others.)
4º.- The final objective would be:
– Make the compilation, sort the audios by title / speaker / date / place (as far as possible).
– Make it available to any project that wants it to expand the file of your premises or space.
– Create a blog / webpage that, through a search engine, can access the audio and download through keywords.
This is a project with the idea of being completed in the medium and long term, therefore, the results will be seen later and in part, they can be effective if we all lend a hand (either recording talks, sending webs where they are hosted or sharing your hard drives if you have them).Today there are already more than 500 audios, thanks in part to the collaboration of people who have sent their audios or have begun to record the talks. The classification work is being carried out little by little.
